JVARI MONASTERY

Jvari Monastery in Mtskheta, one of the oldest religious and architectural monuments, dating back to the first half of the 4th century and included in the list of World Cultural Heritage Monuments. The unique samples of the Georgian Asomatru script preserved to us on the pedestal of the cross, a part of which is kept in the state museum, are valuable. Unlike the basilica architectural monuments of that time, it is distinguished by its cross-domed architecture.
