GORI FORTRESS

Gori Castle is a historical fortress in the city of Gori, located on a high rocky hill.

According to archaeological data, the settlement of the 1st millennium BC is confirmed, and it also performed a strategic function in 1801. When Kartl-Kakheti joined Russia, the Russian grenadier battalion stood here.
